]]>Having trouble finding a cheap LS motor, which is weird, because 2 years ago, I was tripping over them. Anyone got a NOT old as dirt 200k motor laying around?
]]>Thanks Aiptek!
Webisode #2 coming soon!
]]>New gearbox from M-Factory coming soon, ultra close ratio’s and proper gearing should be totally awesome.
And it looks like the Rallybrat and I may be in the seats together again this year at Pikes Peak!
]]>There is a HD version of the video too. Vimeo changed their ruled and it no longer fits, as it is 1007MB even compressed all nice with h.264 codec, and their weekly limit is 500mb. Somebody want to buy me Vimeo plus?
Yes the car is destroyed, at least the drivetrain. Which bums me out the most is that with the MTU dudes and us we had the car pretty much 100% ready to rock. We were pretty stoked at the beginning of stage 2 and ready to decimate, but then we sucked up the air filter’s decorative cap, and it was over. Unfortunately, it cost the entire event. We DO carry a spare motor in the box truck, but it is questionable, and even then, we had no spare turbo because eBay seller refused to ship one to my non-billing address. Good thing too, as I would not have been able to afford food this past week if I had bought it.
I’m ridiculously motivated right now to get the car 100% sorted and solid, and want to do EVERY rally on the continent. Unfortunately, I dont think I can afford more than 4
First order of business is to find a place for the car for the winter, right now it, and my box truck are stored in my condo parking lot and on the street. Eeee.

We need your $4 bucks! Or 9, or 2 even. A year in the making; my buddies and I have finished up my new rally car and we’re almost ready to haul it across the country for the Oregon Trail Rally on Monday. Unforunately I’ve spent all of my money on rally car parts, entry fee’s and more rally car parts. I borrowed money from friends, and then spent that on rally car parts. Turns out, we don’t have enough money to tow the rally car, and ourselves, back home. Bummer.

Yup, that’s my real checking account from8 minutes ago. Luckily, I have a $600 deposit from THE MAN pending for this afternoon, and my regular work pay check as well. That is JUST ENOUGH money to get us from Grand Rapids to Oregon. About $980 in fuel. But once that is gone, we have nothing left to get back. Another $980 in fuel. I know everybody hates high fuel prices, but trust me, you haven’t felt the BIG sting until you’ve dropped 2 grand into your tanks in 7 days.
We have no major sponsorship, no corporate benefactors. Everything is funded from my pockets. I’ve been delivering pizza’s as a second job for 18 months, and have JUST BARELY come up short with money for this rally.
The car is almost done, I’ve been putting in 18 hour days every day. Last week friday, 9 buddies came out and spent all night helping put it together. We’re not going to miss the first round of the Max Attack rally championship, but we do need to get home.

So I’m asking for a little help, in the form of some paypal donations. I’m hoping enough people will hit us up with $4 or $9 or whatever so we can pay for fuel on the way home. I am bringing my Paypal debit card with me, and will use it to draw direct from my Paypal account balance. So, if you like rally cars with giant pink dragons on them, awesome webisodes (first one soon, I promise!) and rad stuff like that, I’d really appreciate some of your money.
